Communities in Organisationen zeichnen sich aus durch eine verantwortungsbewusste und unabhängige Handlungsweise, einer relativ informellen Organisationseinheit in einer gewöhnlich vollständig strukturierten Umgebung von festgelegten Rollen und Prozessen und durch Selbst – Management.“ 1 [...] Der Community Manager ist selbst meist der Gründer einer Community, manchmal ist es auch eine kleine Gruppe von Leuten.
